Description

Grove Dictionary of Musical Instruments describes a Qing (ch’ing) as a ‘Bowl-shaped idiophone of the Han Chinese’ that rests on a cushion and is struck with padded beater. This example is made of ?beaten bronze; the associated beater has a small strip of felt glued to the circumference of its head.
