Description

Four key flageolet. This flageolet may have been made by either Thomas Prowse senior or junior. It is in an unusual key for a flageolet (most were in D) and retains a thumb-hole despite the first tone-hole being plugged to enable the octave to be sounded. The four keys follow the standard pattern and the top of the plug is slanted to prevent condensation entering the windway. Only one spacing stud remains.
