Description

The Moroccan rabab, like other primitive fiddles, has no fingerboard; the strings are stopped with varying degrees of pressure from the fingers, thereby enabling great flexibility of pitch and melodic line. Two strings, highly decorated; body of two sections: lower part painted green and upper part covered with a metal plate and pierced with 4 soundholes.
